The Role
People rely on HR for the details that matter, and that's where you come in.
As our People Coordinator, you'll help keep the employee experience running smoothly by supporting onboarding, payroll, benefits, employee records, HR systems, and day-to-day HR operations. You'll work closely with the Manager, HR Operations to ensure HR processes are accurate, organized, and delivered with a high level of service.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys organization, thrives behind the scenes, and takes pride in making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
This position is remote, but candidates must live in Texas
What You’ll Do
Support the Employee Journey
From a new hire's first day through promotions, transfers, and offboarding, you'll help ensure every employee transition is handled accurately and efficiently.
Process new hires and employee setup within HR systems
Process employee status changes, compensation changes, transfers, promotions, and organizational updates
Process employee separations and offboarding activities
Maintain employee personnel files and documentation
Keep employee information accurate across HR systems
Help Create a Great Onboarding Experience
First impressions matter. You'll help ensure every new employee has the tools, information, and support they need to get started successfully.
Coordinate onboarding activities and new hire communications
Distribute and collect required employment documentation
Track completion of onboarding requirements and training assignments
Coordinate offboarding activities and internal notifications
Partner with internal departments to support employee transitions
Support Payroll and Benefits
Accuracy matters, especially when it comes to payroll and employee benefits.
Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations
Assist employees with routine benefits questions
Support payroll preparation and payroll audits
Run payroll and timekeeping reports
Research discrepancies and gather information for review
Keep HR Systems Organized
Reliable data keeps HR running efficiently.
Maintain employee information across HR systems and related platforms
Update employee records and organizational structures
Run routine reports and assist with data audits
Maintain HR documentation and records
Support system testing and data cleanup efforts
Be a Trusted Resource
You'll help employees and managers find answers while supporting the daily operations of the HR team.
Coordinate employment verifications and routine HR requests
Monitor completion of required policy acknowledgements
Assist with HR projects and department initiatives
Provide timely, professional support to employees and managers
What Success Looks Like
Employee transactions are completed accurately and on time
HR systems and employee records remain organized and up to date
New hires have a seamless onboarding experience
Payroll and benefits support activities are completed accurately
HR documentation remains complete and compliant
Employees and managers receive responsive, professional support
What you Bring
2+ years of experience in Human Resources, payroll, benefits administration, office administration, or a related field preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Experience with HRIS platforms, payroll systems, or other business systems preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Proficiency Google Workspace, or similar business applications
Strong Excel skills a big plus!
